Elopements & microweddings in Switzerland

A small wedding. A big feeling.

A wedding does not need 100 guests.

It does not need ten items on a programme.

And it really does not need anyone you have to explain to why you want to celebrate your day exactly like this.

Sometimes all it takes is a special place, the right people – and the two of you. MissionLove accompanies elopements for two and microweddings with up to 15 guests in Switzerland. Small, personal and entirely on purpose.

Elopement in Switzerland

Just the two of you.

You want to marry – but a classic wedding just doesn’t feel like you? Then leave it out.

At an elopement this moment belongs only to you. No seating plan. No expectations. No question of whether Aunt Erika can sit next to Uncle Peter.

Instead we look for a place where you can imagine saying yes. Maybe with a view of the mountains. By a lake. In a small hotel. In the middle of a vineyard. Or somewhere we have to walk a little to reach.

And there you don’t get a “small version” of a ceremony. You get your ceremony.

Do you need other suppliers for your elopement? No problem! I am a co-founder of ourswisselopement.ch and we are happy to look after you with complete all-inclusive packages!

Microwedding in Switzerland

Your favourite people. Sometimes that is all it takes.

You don’t want to marry entirely alone. But you don’t need 80 or 100 guests either. Then a microwedding might be exactly your thing.

A maximum of 15 guests. That changes the atmosphere of a wedding. It becomes more personal. Closer. More intimate. And suddenly the person in the back row actually knows your surname.

At a microwedding you don’t get a shortened standard ceremony just because there are fewer chairs in front of me. Here too, I want to know who you are.

The difference

Elopement or microwedding?

Elopement: the two of you marry alone.

Microwedding: your closest people come along – at MissionLove up to 15 guests.

Both let you shape your wedding smaller, more personal and often freer than a classic large wedding. Which suits you better? You may not need to know that yet.

Languages

Multilingual works on a small scale too.

Maybe you are an international couple and want your ceremony in two languages. Or your 15 guests come from three different countries.

Then we weave the languages together exactly as we would at a large wedding.

Where can we marry?

Switzerland makes this question fairly easy for us.

Or a place hardly anyone but you knows. Your elopement or microwedding can in principle take place anywhere a ceremony is possible and permitted.

And no: it doesn’t always have to be the most famous Instagram spot in Switzerland. Sometimes the less obvious places are the more beautiful ones.

Please note: in Switzerland an independent ceremony does not replace the civil marriage. You can hold your civil wedding before or after, independently of this – or not at all.

In principle yes. The exact spot does need to be accessible and suitable, or permitted, for a ceremony. Weather, season and access should also be taken into account when planning.

Perhaps your wedding doesn’t need more than this.

A place where you want to be. The people who truly belong. Or no guests at all. And someone who tells your story before you say yes. The rest is optional.
